Rachel's Challenge Rachel's Challenge
Rachel’s Challenge has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 7:00pm in the Marshall High School Auditorium. All High School aged students and older are welcome to attend the presentation. Rachel’s Challenge was developed after the Columbine High School tragedy on April 20,1999. Rachel was the first person killed that day. Her acts of kindness and compassion along with her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs across America. Over 1400 schools received Rachel’s Challenge during the 2008/2009 school year; including Marshall Middle School. For more information about Rachel’s Challenge please visit

H1N1 flu Flu Season
The Marshall Schools are working closely with the Calhoun County Department of Public Health and the Michigan Department of Education in planning and implementing procedures for reducing the spread of the Seasonal as well as the H1N1 flu. As new information becomes available, we will post it on this website. Click on the links here to read the letter sent home to all parents in the district and an informational flyer from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) about H1N1 flu.

Cross Country Team MPS Highlights
The Marshall High School Boys Cross Country team has been running very hard this fall. Their season began successfully on August 21st when they competed in the Grass Lake Relays where the A and B Teams placed ninth and tenth respectively, earning medals. At the Three Rivers Big Hill Invitational on August 25th the team took first place with eight runners earning medals. The next week, each runner bested their previous year’s time at the Charlotte Quad Meet, by a minute or more. The boys will next race on Saturday, September 19th at the Nike-Holly Invitational. Please come out and show them your support.
